World number two Iga Swiatek led Poland to their first-ever Billie Jean King Cup semi-finals with back-to-back wins in a thrilling comeback against the Czech Republic.

Poland initially fell behind when Czech player Marie Bouzkova defeated Magdalena Frech in the opening singles match.

Swiatek then stepped up to keep Poland in the fight, defeating 18-year-old Linda Noskova 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 7-5 in a grueling two-hour-and-39-minute battle.

Notably, Noskova had previously eliminated Swiatek from the Australian Open in January.

Swiatek later returned to the court alongside Katarzyna Kawa for a decisive doubles match, where the duo defeated Katerina Siniakova and Bouzkova 6-1, 6-4, securing Poland’s place in the semi-finals.
