A soldier with the Ghana Air Force, identified as Warrant Officer Class One (WO1) Mensah Williams, has been arrested by military police for allegedly assaulting a young woman and a pharmacist at Burma Camp in Accra.
Sources within the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) say the incident occurred earlier this week when WO1 Williams, who is reportedly attached to the Office of the Chief of Staff, attacked the victims inside a pharmacy located within the camp.

A viral video of the incident shows a tall, dark-complexioned man angrily confronting the pharmacist before slapping him and later turning on a female customer. The footage also captures the soldier striking the woman multiple times in the head after she attempted to record the altercation on her phone.
Eyewitnesses described the attack as unprovoked, leaving both victims visibly shaken.
Military police personnel quickly intervened and arrested WO1 Williams. He has since been handed over to the Cantonments Police for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The Ghana Armed Forces have yet to issue an official statement on the matter. However, sources indicate that internal disciplinary proceedings could be initiated against the soldier if he is found guilty of misconduct.
The incident has drawn widespread condemnation within the military community, with calls for swift disciplinary action to preserve the integrity and professionalism of the Ghana Armed Forces.
