Sam George nominated as Minister Designate for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations

Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, has been nominated as the Minister Designate for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations.

This was contained in a statement released by the Presidency, stating the names and designated Ministries of persons in the final batch of Ministerial appointments by the President.

Profile of Hon. Samuel Nartey George

Born on 22 January 1985 in Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, popularly known as Sam George, is a member of the National Democratic Congress.

His first entrance into Parliament was in 2016 after defeating E. T. Mensah in the 2016 parliamentary elections for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency.

Sam George has worked at the Communications Directorate at the Presidency during President Mahama’s previous tenure and prior to his entrance into Parliament.

He obtained a BSc. in Agricultural Engineering (Soil & Water Engineering) from KNUST and an L.L.B from the University of London (External).

He has an Executive Masters (Dissertation) (Conflict, Peace, and Security) from the Kofi Anann International Peacekeeping and Training Center (KAIPTC).

In December 2022, he graduated with an MSc in International Strategy and Diplomacy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (External).

Sam George is a member of both the Public Accounts Committee and the Communications Committee.
