The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has inaugurated the new state-of-the-art headquarters of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) in Accra.
The inauguration marks the beginning of a significant milestone in the Central Bank’s efforts to enhance its operations and service delivery. The inauguration ceremony, held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, brought together key government officials, Bank of Ghana executives, and prominent figures from Ghana’s financial sector.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Bank Square, President Akufo-Addo emphasized the importance of the new facility in modernizing Ghana’s financial infrastructure.
He commended the Bank of Ghana for its commitment to innovation and efficiency in its operations
“The commissioning of the Bank Square today is a testament to the bank’s vision, maturity, and enduring relevance. This architectural masterpiece not only stands as a symbol of financial strength and stability but also reflects Ghana’s commitment to modernizing her institutions to meet the demands of a fast-changing world,” the President noted.
Expressing gratitude to the President for the initiative, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison, expressed his gratitude to the government for its support and reiterated the Central Bank’s commitment to maintaining financial stability and promoting economic growth.
“The Bank Square will enable us to better serve the needs of our stakeholders and the Ghanaian public. It is equipped with modern facilities that will enhance our operational capabilities and support our mission of ensuring a stable and efficient financial system,” Dr. Addison said
