The Managing Director of the International Construction Mall (ICM), Iyad Hatoum, has revealed that the mall’s operations in Ghana will enhance local access to global trends and innovations within the construction sector.
He made this announcement during the media launch of the International Construction Mall in Accra on Friday.
ICM is a specialized shopping mall designed to facilitate direct business-to-business (B2B) interactions, benefiting both exhibitors and clients. Currently hosting 36 companies across various sectors—including construction chemicals, equipment, power and hand tools, sanitary ware, paints, and more—ICM aims to expand into a larger facility capable of accommodating hundreds of exhibitors.
The mall’s future plans include evolving into a digital platform tailored to meet the needs of the African continent.
According to Mr. Hatoum, ICM’s mission is to revolutionize the construction industry by creating a dynamic and integrated hub that empowers businesses, fosters innovation, and facilitates direct B2B interactions, ultimately driving sustainable growth and development.
During his remarks at the media launch, Mr. Hatoum emphasized that the mall brings companies that introduce innovations and global trends, such as geoengineering, to the local construction industry. He highlighted the availability of affordable and reliable construction equipment across more than 24 categories, provided by companies operating within the mall.
“In the construction industry, machinery plays a critical role in ensuring successful projects and maximizing profits for construction companies. Through MEG Equipment, we are able to offer innovative products that save both time and money,” he said.
