Hiplife icon Maradona Adjei Yeboah, popularly known as Guru NKZ, has been reinstated as a candidate in the University of Ghana’s Student Representative Council (SRC) presidential race.
This comes after the appeals board overturned his initial disqualification with a unanimous 7-0 decision on September 15, 2024.
Guru was disqualified for not being a campus resident, violating Article 30 of the SRC constitution. READ
However, his legal team filed a petition and an interim injunction, leading to the appeals board’s ruling in his favor.
The board ordered that Guru’s name and that of his running mate, Jeffery Adu Yeboah, be added to the list of presidential candidates. The balloting for all candidates is scheduled for Monday, September 16.
