The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) is set to conduct its national and regional executive elections today, Monday, June 30, 2025, at designated polling centres across the country.
According to the GJA Election Committee, polls will open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 3:00 p.m. All eligible members are expected to present a valid form of identification—either a Ghana Card, Voter ID, or National Passport bearing their name and photograph—to be allowed to vote.
Ballot counting, result announcements, and official declarations will take place immediately after voting concludes at each polling centre.
In a statement released ahead of the polls, the Election Committee cautioned members against relying on a fraudulent voters’ list circulating on social media. It stressed that only the official voters’ register will be used in the election process.
Today’s election is a significant event for the association, as it will determine new leadership at both national and regional levels to guide the GJA’s activities over the next term.
