The National Communications Authority (NCA) has announced that Elon Musk’s Starlink internet service will launch in the country by the end of August 2024.
According to a statement released by the NCA on Thursday, August 22, all necessary administrative and licensing procedures have been completed, paving the way for Starlink to roll out its high-speed internet services nationwide.
The service will be managed by Space X Starlink GH LTD, a subsidiary of Musk’s SpaceX. This marks a major milestone in Ghana’s efforts to bridge the digital divide and provide fast and reliable internet access to its citizens, even in remote areas.
With Starlink’s launch, Ghanaians can expect seamless video calling, streaming, and online work capabilities, further accelerating the country’s digital transformation.
