A fire has broken out at the Accra Tourist Information Centre, prompting an immediate response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
Though the exact time of the incident has not yet been confirmed, videos circulating on social media—and shared on the Facebook page of the Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President, Kofi Okyere-Darko (KOD)—show thick plumes of smoke billowing from the facility.
Firefighters are currently on-site battling the flames, but the full extent of the damage remains unknown. As of now, no casualties have been reported.
Authorities say investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
