The Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee has issued a one-year ban to five officials of Real Tamale United (RTU) from all football-related activities.

This decision follows a serious violation during their Matchday 28 game against Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams.

The banned officials are Iddi Manzah Alhassan, Abdul-Samed Iddrisu, Abdul-Gafaru Salifu, Tanko Jentumah, and Sylvester Yaw Apanka.

They were implicated in an incident where RTU used unregistered players to impersonate officially registered ones, deceiving match officials.

This misconduct compromised the game’s integrity and fairness.

The GFA’s imposition of these bans reaffirms its dedication to upholding high standards of conduct and ensuring accountability in football administration.

Effective immediately, these one-year bans aim to underscore the importance of ethical behavior within the sport.

RTU encountered difficulties when their registered players refused to travel, leading them to field unregistered players against Dreams FC, resulting in an 8-1 defeat in Dawu.

Despite admitting guilt and appealing for leniency based on necessity, the severity of the breach warranted the committee’s strict penalties.
