Fermin Lopez stole the show with a brace and two assists as Barcelona hammered Valencia to break their four-game winless run in La Liga.

The match kicked off with an early surge from Barca, as Frenkie de Jong fired a low shot into the bottom corner after just two minutes.

They quickly doubled their lead when Ferran Torres found the back of the net moments later.

Raphinha added a third, coolly finishing into an empty net after being sent through on goal, giving Barcelona a commanding 3-0 lead within the first 14 minutes.

Lopez then added to the spectacle, controlling a long ball with precision before calmly slotting it past goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is reportedly headed to Liverpool.

Just before the break, Lopez bagged his second, pouncing on a rebound after Raphinha’s strike hit the crossbar.

Valencia pulled one back in the 59th minute when Hugo Duro headed home a Diego Lopez cross, offering a brief glimmer of hope for the visitors.

However, Robert Lewandowski quickly restored Barcelona’s dominance, scoring his 17th league goal of the season with a precise finish into the corner.

The drama continued as Valencia’s Cesar Tarrega scored an own goal, rounding off an emphatic 7-1 victory for Barcelona, their biggest La Liga win since a 7-0 demolition of Real Valladolid in August 2024.

This result comes on the heels of their thrilling 5-4 Champions League triumph over Benfica just days earlier.

Currently sitting third in the league, Barcelona are seven points adrift of leaders Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Valencia, managed by Carlos Corberan, remain in deep trouble, languishing in 19th place.
