The Ministry of Education has disbursed an additional GH₵25 million to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to address operational challenges and ensure the timely release of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.
In a statement issued on December 23, Kwasi Kwarteng, spokesperson for the ministry, confirmed the financial boost and reassured the public of WAEC’s commitment to releasing the results soon.
The funds aim to facilitate the marking process and address logistical constraints faced by the examination body.
