The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has announced plans to enhance the Police Service’s capacity to combat crime nationwide by providing some 50,000 CCTV cameras nationwide.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Central East Police Headquarters in Kasoa, Dr. Bawumia revealed plans to install 50,000 CCTV cameras across the country.
According to him, this initiative aims at placing cameras on every street to enable comprehensive surveillance and tracking of criminal activities, significantly reducing crime rates.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized that this move demonstrates the NPP’s commitment to supporting the Ghana Police Service.
“We are bringing in 50,000 CCTV cameras that we are going to install in every region, in every district, and that would allow the police to see what is going on on every street so that we can catch the criminals very quickly. So, Ghana would be very different by the grace of God, and so we are asking for your support for us to do this” he noted. https://mx24online.com/
