Black Stars coach Otto Addo remains optimistic ahead of their match against Niger in Morocco on Monday, September 9, 2024.
The team is eager to recover from their recent defeat to Angola in Kumasi last Thursday.
Although Addo acknowledged that both he and the players were disheartened after the loss to the Palancas Negras, he is encouraged by the team’s resilience.
“Everyone was disappointed, and I was certainly affected myself after the match. However, I received a lot of positive feedback from friends, family, and some media personnel, which was reflected in the press conference.
It showed that our performance wasn’t as poor as it seemed,” Addo said at the pre-match press conference.
“It was an unlucky game, and this positive feedback gave me confidence, which I have tried to pass on to the team in recent days. The players looked sharp in training, though there were areas, both defensively and offensively, that needed improvement.
We worked on these aspects as much as possible given the recovery time.”
The match will kick off at exactly 4:00 GMT.
Ghanaians are anticipating for the Black Stars of Ghana to bounce back to winning ways after that defeat against Angola last Thursday.
