The 12th edition of the highly anticipated annual fashion and music event, “Rhythms on Da Runway”, took place on November 30, 2024, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
This year’s theme, “The Kente Edition,” celebrated Ghanaian pride and unity—an especially timely message as the nation prepared for its elections just a week later.

Organized by renowned broadcaster and fashion entrepreneur Kofi Okyere-Darko (KOD), the event brought together a vibrant mix of fashion industry players, musicians, actors, and key creative stakeholders to honour Ghana’s cultural heritage.
The evening opened powerfully with stirring Kente-themed poetry by Apiokor, who highlighted the importance of preserving the nation’s rich legacy and honoring its traditions.
The runway showcased stunning collections from some of Ghana’s most celebrated designers, including Masantewaa, Ophelia Crossland, Velma’s Millinery and Accessories, Bloom by Edzi, Yaws Creation, Selina Beb, Odefille, Milkwhite Apparel, and Kustom Look Clothier. Each design paid homage to Kente’s timeless beauty while merging modern innovation with cultural significance.
The night was further elevated by captivating performances from musical icons such as Edem, Amandzeba Nat Brew, Kwabena Kwabena, Michael Stuckey, Bibie Brew, Asabea Cropper, and Kenteman. A special surprise appearance by Stonebwoy added an electrifying moment to the evening, as the celebrated artist delivered a powerful performance and used the platform to advocate for peace before, during, and after the upcoming 2024 elections.
With its seamless fusion of fashion, music, and culture, Rhythms on Da Runway once again proved to be more than just a show—it was a celebration of Ghanaian identity, unity, and creative excellence.
