The Embassy of Ghana in Doha has called on Ghanaians affected by the closure of airspace and the suspension of regular commercial flights in Qatar to urgently submit their travel details to the mission to facilitate arrangements for their departure.
In a notice issued on March 12, 2026, the embassy explained that the directive follows instructions from host authorities after flight operations were disrupted.
According to the statement, Ghanaians holding valid tickets with Qatar Airways who are either in transit in Doha or residents awaiting departure are required to provide their information to the embassy.

Affected travellers have been asked to submit their names, the biodata pages of their passports and copies of their flight tickets via email to [email protected].
“The Embassy of Ghana wishes to inform Ghanaians impacted by the closure of the airspace and suspension of regular commercial flights operations in Qatar that the host authorities have directed that Ghanaians with valid Qatar Airways tickets either in transit in Doha or residents awaiting their departures from Doha are kindly requested to furnish the Embassy with their names, biodata pages of their passports as well as copies of their tickets… to facilitate their departures from Doha to their respective destinations,” the notice stated.
The embassy noted that the information will enable it to coordinate with the relevant authorities to assist affected Ghanaian travellers to depart Doha once flight arrangements are restored.
