According to the GHS, common symptoms of Mpox include: Fever, rash, Headache, Muscle aches, Swollen lymph nodes, Chills and Fatigue among others.
Anyone experiencing these signs is encouraged to visit the nearest health facility for evaluation and care.
Ghana first recorded cases of Mpox in 2022, and the disease has since resurfaced intermittently across various regions. Health authorities continue to emphasize the importance of public awareness, early detection, and community-level vigilance as key to managing the outbreak.
