Three senior officials of the McDan Group have reportedly been detained by National Security operatives following the demolition of a warehouse under construction along the Spintex Road in Accra.

According to sources the officials were picked up shortly after the incident at the site, which has since been declared a “National Security Zone” by operatives stationed there.

The demolished structure is believed to be linked to Daniel McKorley, the prominent businessman widely known as McDan. However, the circumstances surrounding the demolition remain unclear, and official reasons have yet to be disclosed.

Tensions flared at the site earlier on Wednesday when armed military personnel were seen assaulting a bystander who was being interviewed by a JoyNews reporter. The incident has sparked widespread concern about the conduct of security personnel during the operation.

In a related development, JoyNews journalist Carlos Calony was reportedly arrested by National Security operatives while covering the aftermath of the demolition. The reasons for his arrest remain unknown at this time.
