Lando Norris delivered a stunning performance under the Singapore lights, converting pole position into a convincing victory and trimming Max Verstappen’s championship lead to 52 points.
Banishing memories of previous poor starts, Norris rocketed off the line to maintain his lead into Turn 1, controlling the opening laps before pulling clear of the pack.
Despite his best efforts, Verstappen couldn’t match Norris’ blistering pace, settling for a distant second place, 20 seconds adrift.
Oscar Piastri’s impressive rise from fifth to third, combined with Sergio Perez’s lowly points finish, propelled McLaren 41 points clear of Red Bull in the constructors’ standings.
