President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku paid a heartfelt visit to the family of late Asante Kotoko supporter Yaw Frimpong, known as “Nana Pooley,” in Kumasi on Thursday. His visit was a show of solidarity, offering condolences and support during a painful time for the grieving family.
Mr. Okraku’s visit to the family home was deeply emotional, as he shared in their grief and conveyed the sympathy of the entire football community which he represents. He offered words of comfort, recognizing Pooley’s unwavering passion for Asante Kotoko and his impact on Ghanaian football.
The FA president was joined by some key football figures in Ghana, including Ashanti Regional Football Association Chairman Osei Tutu Agyemang and GFA Executive Council members Frederick Acheampong and James Kwasi Appiah. Their presence reinforced the message of unity and collective mourning within Ghanaian football.
