Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has called for justice following the tragic killing of Asante Kotoko supporter Yaw Frimpong, known as Nana Pooley. During a visit to the club’s Interim Management Committee and supporters’ leadership in Kumasi, he expressed his condolences and condemned the brutal act.

Simeon-Okraku urged anyone with information about the incident in Nsoatre to come forward. “There was someone present with the person who took Nana Pooley’s life. That person must be honest with football and reveal the killer’s identity,” he stated. His plea was a call for transparency and justice, not just for the grieving family but for the entire Ghanaian football community.

The loss of Pooley has deeply affected Asante Kotoko, a club with a rich history and one of the most passionate fan bases in Africa. His unwavering support for the team made him a well-known figure among the Porcupine Warriors faithful. The tragedy has sparked concern over fan safety, highlighting the need for stronger measures to protect supporters.

Simeon-Okraku’s visit was a gesture of support, emphasizing the need for unity in the face of tragedy. As Asante Kotoko fans, players, and officials continue to mourn, their grief is matched by a collective demand for justice. The football community stands together, determined to honor Nana Pooley’s memory by ensuring accountability and safety for all supporters.
