The Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council has set September 1, 2024, as the date for the Champion of Champions match, marking the beginning of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

This special match will feature the 2023-24 Premier League champions facing off against the MTN FA Cup winners, following the guidelines outlined in the Premier League Regulations (Article 9).

Medeama Sporting Club, the current Premier League titleholders, defeated Dreams FC, the MTN FA Cup winners, with a 2-1 victory at the Cape Coast Stadium on September 3, 2023, securing the Champion of Champions title.

Jonathan Sowah’s two goals led Medeama Sporting Club to their second Super Cup win, while Dreams FC managed a consolation goal through Agyenim Boateng.

The Ghana Football Association hopes that this official announcement will alert all relevant parties, ensuring the smooth organization and successful execution of this traditional season-opening match.
