The FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber has ruled in favor of Ghanaian forward Augustine Okrah in a payment dispute with Tanzanian club Young Africans Sport Club (Yanga SC).
The chamber ordered Yanga SC to pay Okrah $24,400 in outstanding remuneration owed to him during his time at the club.
Yanga SC was also fined $3,000 and issued a warning. They were given 30 days to pay the fine to FIFA. Yanga SC were also given 45 days to pay Okrah, including interest.
If Yanga SC fails to comply they will be banned from registering new players for up to three consecutive registration periods (domestically and internationally). They could also face further action from FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee.
