Manchester United winger Antony has completed a loan move to La Liga side Real Betis until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old Brazilian, who joined United from Ajax in August 2022 for £81.3m, will now look for a fresh start after a challenging period at Old Trafford.
Since his arrival, Antony has made 96 appearances for United, scoring 12 goals. However, his impact has waned in recent months, with just one Premier League goal since April 2023.
After a promising start under Erik ten Hag, his former manager at Ajax, Antony struggled to maintain a regular spot in the starting lineup, featuring in only 13 of United’s 33 matches this season.
The loan deal is reported to cover at least 84% of Antony’s salary, which exceeds £100,000 per week. Despite his move, he remains under contract with Manchester United until 2027.
The club has wished him the best for his time at Betis, as he aims to regain his best form and continue his development in La Liga.
