Ghanaian forward André Ayew has sealed a sensational return to Ligue 1 side Le Havre AC, just months after his initial departure.

The 34-year-old veteran, who previously played for Le Havre on a short-term deal last season, has rejoined the club on a contract that runs until the end of the season.

Ayew’s initial stint at Le Havre was marked by five crucial goals in 19 Ligue 1 appearances, helping Luka Elsner’s side retain their top-flight status.

Despite not having his contract extended, Ayew expressed his desire to remain with Le Havre. The club’s struggles to score goals this season, with only seven league goals so far, paved the way for his dramatic return.

The Normandy club has struggled to find the back of the net, with only Toulouse FC, Montpellier HSC, AS Saint-Étienne, SCO Angers, and RC Lens scoring fewer goals.

Ayew’s return provides a much-needed injection of experience and goal-scoring prowess to Le Havre’s attacking lineup.

The accomplished forward has previously played for Olympique de Marseille, Swansea City, West Ham United, and Nottingham Forest.
