Background:
Hassan Ayariga is a Ghanaian accountant and politician known for his role in founding the All People’s Congress (APC). Initially entering the political scene as the presidential candidate for the People’s National Convention (PNC) in 2012, Ayariga left the party after losing the 2016 primaries to Edward Mahama. He subsequently formed the APC, which received certification from the Electoral Commission of Ghana. Despite his efforts, he was disqualified from contesting in the 2016 general election due to reported paperwork errors, a decision he attributed to electoral misconduct.
