Jay-Z Makes History at Yankee Stadium with Record-Breaking 30th Anniversary Tour Kickoff

Jay-Z has once again proven why he remains one of hip-hop’s most formidable forces, kicking off his 30th-anniversary concert series with a record-breaking three-night residency at Yankee Stadium. Celebrating three decades since the release of his seminal debut album Reasonable Doubt, the Brooklyn native drew unprecedented crowds to the Bronx from July 10 to July 12, 2026.

The weekend was marked by historic milestones and surprise appearances that left fans buzzing. Saturday night’s performance shattered previous attendance records, with an astonishing 45,832 tickets sold, surpassing a record Jay-Z himself had set just the night before. The star-studded opening night featured surprise appearances from Beyoncé and Blue Ivy, while subsequent shows brought out heavyweights like Eminem, Slick Rick, and Pharrell Williams to share the stage.

However, the historic weekend was not without its challenges. The final show on Sunday night experienced significant delays due to a security breach when large groups of fans rushed the stadium gates. This prompted a response from the NYPD and pushed the concert’s start time back by several hours. Despite the chaos, Jay-Z eventually took the stage at 12:20 AM, delivering a powerhouse performance that kept fans energized until nearly 3:00 AM. Following this monumental New York run, the tour is set to expand globally, with upcoming stops including a highly anticipated show at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium and dates in Paris, ensuring the 30th-anniversary celebration continues to make waves worldwide.
