US-based Ghanaian gospel musician, Rosey Musiq, has expressed that she feels a strong sense of responsibility to create gospel music as a way of honoring God. According to her, she owes it to God to create songs that inspire and uplift others.

Speaking on the AM Club morning show on MX24 TV, she said that “it will be super disrespectful for Him to give me this talent, this beauty and then me use it to honor something else”. Rosey Musiq also mentioned that since she began her music career professionally in 2018, she has been singing in church.

She went on to encourage churches to do better in supporting people with talents like her by investing in their crafts since most of them depend on these talents they have as their main source of income. When asked what goes into musicmaking process, Rosey Musiq explained that she draws inspiration from the Bible and always prays before producing a song.

Rosey Musiq also highlighted the importance of prayer to her when it comes to making collaborations because, she moves with the spirit rather than her emotions.

She said this while making reference to a collaboration she made with Sista Afia, a Ghanaian high life artiste in 2021.
