University of Ghana Stadium to Host 2024 WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations

The University of Ghana Stadium is gearing up to host the highly anticipated 2024 WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations which is set to kick off from May 15 to May 29, 2024.

This tournament serves as the gateway to the 2024 U-17 African Cup of Nations, promising an exciting display of talent from West African nations.

The competition will feature seven teams including host nation Ghana alongside Cote d’Ivoire, Benin, Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, and Togo.

Ghana’s Black Starlets lead Group A, facing off against Cote d’Ivoire and Benin while Group B boasts a strong lineup with Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Togo vying for supremacy.

The newly inaugurated University of Ghana Stadium which hosted two games during the Africa Games Men’s Football tournament a few months back will be the focal point of the U-17 Cup of Nations.

Teams will utilize pitches at the University of Ghana including the Athletics Oval field, Mensah Sarbah field and The Union Ghana Soccer field, ensuring they are primed and ready for their matches.
