UFC 300 took place in Las Vegas where Alex Pereira defended his light-heavyweight title by knocking out Jamahal Hill in the first round.

The 36-year-old Brazilian landed a decisive left hook that sent the 32-year-old American to the canvas, sealing the victory with ground strikes.

This win adds to Pereira’s impressive UFC record, with seven victories in his last eight fights over two and a half years.

Elsewhere, Max Holloway stole the show at T-Mobile Arena with a thrilling finish against Justin Gaethje, securing the symbolic BMF title.

With just seconds left in their lightweight bout, Holloway gestured to the ground, inviting Gaethje to exchange blows.

In a wild exchange, Holloway delivered a knockout blow with just one second remaining, showcasing his skill and resilience.

The event also saw notable personalities like former world champion Mike Tyson and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg in attendance.

Looking ahead, Pereira may face Magomed Ankalaev in his next bout.

Following UFC 300, Conor McGregor is set to return to the Octagon for the first time since July 2021, facing American Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in Las Vegas on June 29.
