The buzz around Dreams FC’s upcoming CAF Confederation Cup match against Zamalek at the Baba Yara Stadium has taken an intriguing turn with the National Sports Authority (NSA) clarifying its recent financial request.

The NSA’s spokesperson, Charles Amofah in an interview, debunked claims of a GHC36,000 demand directly from Dreams FC.

Instead, he said from the letter cited by portions of the media, the request was directed at the Ghana Football Association (GFA), citing the club’s decision to offer free entry as the basis for financial support.

The NSA’s letter to the GFA outlines detailed expenses amounting to GH₵36,070.00.

This covers field preparation, janitorial services, sanitation and standby generator provision.

This move comes in response to Dreams FC’s promotion of free entry into specific stadium sections.

As preparations heat up for the crucial match, both Dreams FC and the GFA are reminded of their financial responsibilities.

They are to ensure a smooth and well-supported event at the iconic Baba Yara Stadium.
