Everton’s appeal against their second points deduction for breaching Premier League financial rules is set to unfold during the final week of the ongoing season.

The Toffees faced a two-point penalty following a finding by an independent commission that highlighted a breach of Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) amounting to £16.6 million for the three-year period leading to 2022-23.

Guidelines allow clubs a margin of £105 million in losses over three years, with Everton already experiencing a 10-point deduction—later trimmed to six—up until 2021-22.

Scheduled for the week starting May 13, the upcoming appeal will see an appeals panel deliver a verdict before Everton’s crucial clash against Arsenal on May 19.

Amidst these legal battles, Sean Dyche’s squad secured Premier League survival with a remarkable 1-0 victory against Brentford.

Dyche expressed delight in the team’s newfound positivity, emphasizing the importance of maintaining momentum and delivering strong performances, especially with upcoming games against relegation-threatened Luton.
