National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has taken a crucial step towards contesting the 2024 general elections, as his presidential nomination forms were submitted to the Electoral Commission (EC) on Monday.

NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia led a delegation of party officials, including General Secretary Fifi Kwetey and Director of IT and Elections Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, to file the forms on Mahama’s behalf.

Following the submission, Asiedu Nketia expressed optimism that the EC would address the concerns raised by the NDC regarding the election process, leading to a mutually beneficial outcome.

Mahama’s filing of his nomination forms marks a significant milestone in his bid to lead the NDC in the December 7 presidential election. The EC’s acceptance of his forms paves the way for his candidacy to be formalized.
