The police have arrested a final-year student from O’Reilly Senior High School in connection with the fatal stabbing of his colleague.
The suspect, who allegedly produced a sharp object during a heated argument, has been taken into custody.
The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, which occurred on the school’s campus.
Further details about the arrest and the investigation are yet to be released, but the police have confirmed that the suspect is in custody and will face charges related to the incident.
The tragic incident occurred on Monday, September 2 resulting in the tragic death of an 18-year-old final-year student in the General Arts Department.
According to eyewitnesses, a fight broke out on the O’Reilly campus between the deceased and a fellow student from the Visual Arts Department, shortly after they both finished writing an exam.
The altercation allegedly stemmed from a dispute over who was wealthier, with the assailant stabbing the deceased three times in the chest, according to reports.
Meanwhile, the victim’s father has expressed outrage and frustration, criticizing the school authorities and police for their lack of response. Despite the incident occurring yesterday, neither the school nor the police have reached out to him.
“The school authority has not said anything… The police have not called, the school authority has not called, even the boy who killed my son, neither the family have even reached me,” he lamented.
The father is demanding justice and seeking explanations from the school authorities, questioning whether teachers were present during the incident. https://mx24online.com/featured/final-year-student-stabbed-to-death-at-oreilly-senior-high-school/
