Ghana’s Zinabu Issah added another medal to her collection at the 2025 World Para Athletics (WPA) Grand Prix in Marrakech, clinching silver in the Women’s F57 Shot Put with a throw of 8.54 meters.
She finished just behind the Nigerian gold medalist, who threw 8.94 meters.
Issah’s impressive showing reinforces her reputation as one of Africa’s premier field para-athletes.
She is now on the cusp of qualifying for both the 2025 WPA World Championships and the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
To boost her qualification prospects, Issah aims to compete in upcoming events, including the WPA Paris 2025 Grand Prix and the All-Women WPA 2025 Grand Prix in the Czech Republic.
