The Bright Future Alliance (TBFA), a youth-led civil society organization dedicated to promoting good governance and sustainable development across Africa, has announced the launch of the African Leaders of Influence Lectureship Series (ALILS) — a new continental platform designed to redefine leadership dialogue on the continent.

The inaugural edition of ALILS is set to take place in 2026 in Accra, Ghana, bringing together Heads of State, senior government officials, development partners, diplomats, policymakers, business executives, civil society, and youth leaders for high-level discussions on Africa’s governance and development agenda.

The keynote speaker, expected to be a former African president or a statesman of continental repute, will set the tone for what organizers describe as a “living archive” of African leadership lessons — a platform to document experiences, shape policy dialogue, and inspire the next generation of leaders.

According to TBFA Executive Director, Bright Ofori, the series was conceived to connect seasoned leaders with emerging changemakers and promote integrity-driven governance.

“Africa’s leadership future depends on the values we nurture today. Through ALILS, we are creating a space where leaders and citizens can engage in meaningful exchanges,” Mr. Ofori said.

“Across the continent, people continue to demand accountability, visionary leadership, and practical solutions to our development challenges. This platform will serve as the voice of Pan-African leadership dialogue” he added.

The launch of ALILS follows the success of TBFA’s flagship African Governance and Anti-Corruption Summit 2025, held at the University of Ghana in June 2025. This event featured high-profile dignitaries, including Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, and reinforced TBFA’s reputation for convening impactful governance forums.

Building on that momentum, the new lectureship series will broaden the conversation from anti-corruption to encompass sustainable development, inclusive governance, and self-sufficiency in African economies.

TBFA believes the initiative will strengthen collaboration among governments, the private sector, and international development partners to support Africa’s transformation in line with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
