Ghanaian boxer Jacob Dickson suffered a crushing defeat on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Bukom Boxing Arena, losing his WBC African Cruiserweight title to American challenger Andrew Tabiti.

The headline bout of the “Battle of the Beasts” card, organized by Legacy Rise Sports and Amir Khan Promotions, ended in the fourth round with a decisive knockout.

From the opening bell, Tabiti dominated. He dropped Dickson in the first round with a brutal uppercut and continued to apply relentless pressure.

The American’s mix of body shots and head combinations left Dickson unable to mount any effective offense. Despite the presence of Ghanaian boxing icons Azumah Nelson, Joshua Clottey, and Ayitey Powers, Dickson struggled throughout.

In round four, just 1:34 in, Tabiti delivered the final blow, knocking Dickson down for the third time and ending the contest. The win improved Tabiti’s record to 21 wins from 23 fights and earned him the WBC African Cruiserweight title.

A former protégé of Floyd Mayweather Sr., Tabiti showcased his elite skills and power, cementing his status as a serious contender in the cruiserweight division. For Dickson, it was a humbling night in front of a home crowd.
