Sheffield Sharks secured a 105-97 victory over Surrey 89ers in the Super League Basketball Cup final at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena.
Despite trailing 51-49 at half-time, the Sharks staged a strong second-half comeback to claim the title.
American guard Donovan Clay was named the game’s Most Valuable Player after scoring 23 points, playing a crucial role in the Sharks’ victory.
This win marked a significant achievement for the club, as it was their first trophy since the BBL play-off title in 2016.
The Sharks, who are currently second in the Super League standings, now turn their attention back to the league campaign, with Lyons focusing on the upcoming games and the potential for additional silverware in the Championship and play-offs.
