Ghana’s Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, has revealed his squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

The announcement took place at midday in the Conference Room of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) headquarters.

Addo’s selection is vital as Ghana prepares to face Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 5, followed by an away match against Niger on September 9.

Among those returning to the Black Stars squad for these crucial qualifiers are Kingsley Schindler, Inaki Williams, Majeed Ashimeru, and Joseph Paintsil.

Additionally, Frederick Asare from Kotoko has earned a spot on the roster for the upcoming matches.

During the squad announcement, the Ghana Football Association’s Director of Communication, Henry Asante Twum, provided an update on the players who were unable to make the squad due to injuries.

Otto Addo revealed Baba Rahman’s situation remains unchanged and the player is still unavailable for selection due to personal reasons.

These players include Joseph Aidoo, Ibrahim Sulemana, Patrick Pfeiffer, Abdul Salis Samed, Ernest Nuamah, and Kamaldeen Sulemana.
