The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended congratulations to Donald J. Trump on his recent return to the White House following his victory in the U.S. presidential election.
In a statement released Wednesday, NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey hailed Trump’s win as a promising signal for the NDC’s prospects in Ghana’s own presidential race set for December 7, 2024.
Kwetey highlighted similarities between the U.S. election outcome and Ghana’s current political climate, suggesting that just as American voters opted for experienced leadership, Ghanaians are likely to reject what he described as the ruling government’s track record of “insensitivity, corruption, and economic mismanagement.”
They further affirmed the NDC’s pledge to bring “stability, integrity, and renewed hope” to Ghana, positioning the party as the alternative for those seeking a change in the country’s governance.
