The statue of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, situated at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital roundabout in Sekondi, has been completely destroyed.
This act of vandalism occurred just days after Akufo-Addo left office, leaving the monument entirely toppled.
This incident marks the second attack on the statue, which was erected to honor the former president’s contributions during his tenure.
The first act of vandalism occurred on December 16, 2024, when unknown individuals damaged the statue’s leg. Despite repairs being undertaken, no arrests were made, and the motives behind the initial attack remain unclear.
Meanwhile the Ghana police service and other authorities have yet to comment on the latest incident
