Former Assin Central MP and flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has once again pledged to make job creation a cornerstone of his vision for Ghana, should he be elected President.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Monday, October 13, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful said that tackling unemployment, particularly for both certificate and non-certificate holders, would be his top priority if given the nod to lead the NPP and ultimately the country.

“I’ve created thousands of jobs through my own hard work and resources. With your support, I’ll create even more job opportunities for both certificate and non-certificate holders. I’ve done it before. I’ll do it bigger for Ghana,” Agyapong wrote.

The former legislator pointed to his entrepreneurial track record as proof of his ability to deliver results, noting that his private enterprises have employed hundreds across multiple sectors, including media, agriculture, real estate, and logistics.
Mr. Agyapong is among five candidates seeking to lead the NPP into the 2026 general elections. During the recent balloting process, he picked the number one slot, placing him at the top of the party’s presidential primary ballot.

The NPP presidential primary is scheduled for January 31, 2026, and is expected to be one of the most closely contested in the party’s history, following its transition into the opposition.
