Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito is determined to bring the Ghana FA Cup trophy back to Kumasi, vowing to give everything to secure victory over Golden Kick in the upcoming final.

The highly anticipated final is set for June 15 at the University of Ghana Stadium, and Zito has made his intentions clear: he wants the trophy.

Kotoko booked their place in the final after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea in the semifinals.

Now, they stand just one win away from lifting the FA Cup for the first time since 2017.

Zito’s confidence is palpable as he prepares his side to face Golden Kick, a Division One team that has stunned many with their impressive cup run, most recently defeating Attram De Visser 3-1 in the semifinals.

Speaking ahead of the final, Zito emphasized his focus and determination:

“You can’t underrate any club until you get what you want, so I don’t care whether they are in Division One or not – I don’t care.

I am going there for the cup, I am going to deal with it, I am going to fight it, I am going to make sure that I beat the team and then take the cup.”

While the FA Cup final remains the primary goal, Kotoko will first turn their attention to league action with a crucial Ghana Premier League match against Dreams FC scheduled for May 18.

With Zito at the helm, Kotoko’s sights are firmly set on silverware and the final promises to be a fierce contest.
