Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah has completed a significant move to Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars SC from Libyan side Al Nasr Benghazi for a reported transfer fee of USD 220,000.

The 24-year-old forward will reunite with fellow Ghanaians Emmanuel Keyekeh and Ibrahim Imoro at Singida Black Stars.

Despite being contracted to Al Nasr until December 2025, Sowah’s transfer signifies a new opportunity in his career.

Sowah initially joined Al Nasr in January 2024 from Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC for a reported fee of USD 200,000.

While with the Libyan club, he showcased his abilities in the CAF Champions League, playing a crucial role in their campaign, although the team fell short of continental success as Egypt’s Al Ahly claimed the title.

Before his move abroad, Sowah gained prominence during Medeama’s 2022-2023 league-winning season, scoring 12 goals and providing an assist in 20 matches.

His outstanding performances earned him a call-up to the Black Stars for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations under coach Chris Hughton.

Now at Singida Black Stars, Sowah looks forward to making a significant impact in Tanzanian football and further solidifying his growing reputation as a talented striker on the African football stage.
