Former President and NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has cut the sod for the construction of a 500-seater modern sports facility in his home constituency, Bole-Bamboi.
The ceremony took place on Sunday, marking the start of a significant project aimed at benefiting the youth and surrounding communities.

The facility, facilitated by Member of Parliament for Bole, Alhaji Yusif Suleman, will feature a football pitch with changing rooms, volleyball and tennis courts, and a swimming pool.
The project promises to offer local youth an opportunity to develop their sporting skills, stay healthy, and enjoy various forms of entertainment through the activities offered at the complex.

Mahama highlighted that the construction would also create job opportunities for both skilled and unskilled workers in the area, offering immediate economic benefits to the community during the building phase.

Speaking on the initiative, Mahama emphasized the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s commitment to inclusive growth through investments in health, education, and sports.

He noted that sports development is a key part of the NDC’s broader human development agenda, aimed at nurturing talent and improving the well-being of Ghanaians.
