Ghana is ready to host AOW 2025 – Herbert Krapa assures

For the first time, Ghana is set to host the 2025 Africa Oil Week (AOW), a world class conference that highlights energy sector opportunities across the African continent while focusing on responsible exploration and production of fuels and gas. 

This would mark a significant shift from the 30 year hosting tenure in Cape Town, South Africa. Speaking during the launch of the Africa Oil Week (AOW), Ghana’s Minister for Energy, Herbert Krapa expressed the government’s excitement to host the event in Accra, Ghana. According to him, this narrative would ensure that the conversation about accelerating the exploration and production of oil and gas is intensified.

He also assured Ghanaians and the international community of Ghana’s readiness to deliver an unparalleled experience.

“We are thrilled that AOW will be moving to Accra starting from September 15 next year.  Ghana is ready and Accra is ready to host this important event. This vital narrative will be shifting to Accra to ensure that the conversation about accelerating our exploration and exploration is intensified” he noted.

The CEO of Sankofa Events and owner of Africa Oil Week, Paul Sinclair, explained the significance of relocating the event from South Africa to Ghana. He also commended the government and other partners for their support.

The Africa Oil Week (AOW), slated for September 15 – 18, 2025, is expected to draw significant investment and promote sustainable development in Arica’s evolving energy sector.
