The Ghana Football Association has announced the schedule for the Elite U15 Girls Championship, which kicks off on Sunday, July 14, 2024.
The tournament will feature four matches on the opening day, starting from Monday, July 15, 2024.
The first match will see Ashanti Region take on Eastern Region at 8am local time at the GFA’s esteemed Technical Centre, the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Following that, Upper East will face Northern Region at 10am, and Greater Accra will compete against Upper West at 2pm local time (14:00 GMT).
Bono Ahafo will conclude matchday-1 against Volta Region at 4pm local time (16:00 GMT).
The teams, divided into two groups of five, will begin their campaign for talent identification on Monday, July 15, continuing through Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
This championship is part of FIFA’s Talent Development Scheme (TDS) implemented by the GFA, aimed at identifying and developing the next generation of female football stars.
It also aligns with the GFA’s Women’s Football Strategy (2023-2026), focusing on the identification, training, development, and empowerment of young female footballers.
