The annual Ghana FinTech Awards 2024, a premier event dedicated to recognizing outstanding Financial Technology (FinTech) companies and banking institutions, is set to honor the industry’s leading innovators and contributors.
The award scheme has officially opened nominations for interested FinTech companies and individuals.
This year’s event, which marks the fourth edition, will acknowledge individuals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional achievements and efforts in building competitive and sustainable businesses within a rapidly evolving digital environment.
With the theme “Building Trust in Ghana’s Digital Economy: The Essential Role of Cybersecurity and Data Privacy,” the Awards highlight the critical need for robust cybersecurity measures and data privacy in fostering a secure and trustworthy digital ecosystem. Over the years, the Ghana FinTech Awards have broadened their scope, celebrating a diverse range of companies and embracing emerging technologies that strengthen Ghana’s position as a competitive player in the global FinTech space.
Speaking to the media after a press launch, Cristina Swan-Awagah, the Project Coordinator for the Ghana Fintech Awards, noted that the aim of the awards is to enhance the country’s journey towards economic growth and financial inclusion by recognizing the innovation and adaptability of FinTechs in driving the convenience of financial transactions.
According to her, the event showcases the ability of these companies to integrate seamlessly into various industries, boosting the adoption of digital services across sectors with an online presence or e-commerce platform.
