Germany faced off against Switzerland in their recent UEFA European Championship group match, which ended in a draw.
Coming into this game, the Germans had already secured a spot in the next round of the competition after winning their first two games of the competition whilst the Swiss needed to secure at least a draw to qualify.
The game saw an intense first half with Germany conceding a goal on the 28th minute to Dan Ndoye.
Despite their efforts, the Germans couldn’t find the net to equalize before halftime.
The second half was equally competitive, but Germany managed to break the deadlock with a goal from Nicolas Fullkrug, assisted by David Raum.
Füllkrug leapt high in a congested penalty area to nod the ball into the far corner of the net beyond Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
The match ended with a 1-1 scoreline sending both teams to the next stage of the competition.
Germany finished at the top of Group A and is set to face the runner-up of Group C.
