The Electoral Commission (EC) has released the Provisional Voter Register (PVR) to political parties, following intense pressure from stakeholders. The move comes ahead of the voter register exhibition, scheduled for August 20-27, 2024.

At a press conference on August 19, Deputy Electoral Commissioner Dr. Bossman Asare clarified that the EC is within its scheduled timeframe for delivering the provisional register.
He explained that the commission has until the end of August 2024 to provide the register, as per Regulation 22 of CI 31.

The EC has made the provisional register available for pickup on external drives.
Dr. Asare emphasized that the provisional register is not the final register, but rather an opportunity to correct errors before the final register is compiled.

The voter register exhibition will allow citizens to verify their details and make corrections, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the electoral process.
